In addition, you can also choose to delete your account manually from the plugin settings page, which results in your data being automatically removed irreversibly from our system and your browser.

The Service

The browser plugin

To provide the service that the browser plugin uses, we request the URL of the tab that is currently active in your browser.
We then use the domain of this URL (eg. to search our database for mailing list records.

For our internal use in developing accurate scores, we count how frequently a mailing list is returned in a search, as well as how many times a user blocks or allows access to it through the plugin.
These counts are not associated with any user information, so it is NOT possible for us to identify the websites that any user visits for example.

That said, we are dedicated to upholding the privacy of all our information and promise to never do anything with this metadata except provide you an excellent service through our websites and plugins.

The website

Through our webite, visitors can manually submit email addresses to check their scores. These are recorded as public hits against our API and the details of the requests are discarded.

Insights API & Reporting

We provide access to scores on a paid basis via our reporting product (link) and Insights API.

The same counts and details that apply to the browser plugin also apply to the Insights and Reports functionality.

The Mailing Lists & Scores

Although individually submitted email addresses are used to generate the scores, we do not expose these via our service, and thus the scores and information we display should not be considered personally identifiable information.

If you want us to remove a specific score from our system because you think it is exposing personal information, then please let us know immediately.

Third parties

We don't share any user data publicly or with third-parties, except when required to by law. To date this has never been requested and we can't imagine why it would be.

We do use a few third-party scripts with whom we share non-personal data for the following purposes;

  1. Page view analytics (Simple Analytics)

  2. In-app support chat built by us: (Squarechat)

  3. Cookie consent (Metomic)

  4. Error handling (Sentry)
